By 1861 Samuel and his family had moved 25-30 miles north west to Overseal in Derbyshire where he continued to work as a brickmaker. He seems to
have moved after the birth of his son John in 1856. The next son George was born in Bagworth in 1858. Bagworth is half-way between Leicester and
Overseal.
