Archibald Torrance and Margaret Reid married on the 4th April and their first son David was born on the 21st September. More children arrived on a regular basis until there were at least 10, including a set of twins. Seven children, of the eight born, were alive and listed in the 1851 Census when they were living in Nelson St. Archibald Torrance and his wife Margaret had at least 10 children one of whom was William Croel Torrance whose line of descendency we are following.
