The Rowland family were living in Maguire St from about 1829. The Victorian map shows its location. The modern map indicates Maguire St disappeared
under an approach road to the Mersey Tunnel (Kingsway) which opened in 1971.
On the Victorian map can be seen Burlington St and Hornby St
which feature later in this narrative.
