Alma Harlington (1856 - 1918) Alma Harlington was born in the fourth quarter of 1856 in Goole. Just over 4 years later he was aboard the ship 'Fanny' with his younger sister Louisa and his parents James and Hannah Harlington. I couldn’t find Alma or his parents in the 1871 Census but six years later, at the age of 20, he married Annie Elizabeth Kellitt who was the daughter of Charles Kellitt, a rope-maker. The marriage took place in the impressive Parish Church of St Johns, which is very close to the docks. Kellitt is sometimes spelled Kellett.
