1841 Census At the time of the 1841 Census William and Elizabeth and their first child Edward Green were living in Mill Lane in Cambridge. William was working as a clerk. He was to remain in Mill Lane for the rest of his life (until 1889). He worked for Foster Brothers* for over 50 years! The Foster family were also actively involved in local politics.
