Violet Ann Wood Violet Ann Wood married Thomas Rowland on 28 Mar 1877 in Saddleworth when they were both aged 24. He was a joiner. Thomas Rowland’s father had died the previous year. The witnesses were Thomas’ brother and his sister-in-law. Violet Ann Wood gives her place of residence as Spring Brow in the Parish of Dobcross (see previous map). They had three children, only one of whom survived to adulthood.
