1841 Census After his time in prison Henry returned to his family in Maguire Street. In the Census he gives his trade as 'watchmaker', though one wonders who he was working for, if anyone, after acquiring a prison record. She was recorded as a 'Romanist' which may explain why some children were baptised as Catholics. A Romanist is a member of a Church, especially the Church of England, who favours or is influenced by Roman Catholicism. It was sometimes used as a derogatory term. Henry Rowland married Margaret Thomas on 20 July 1845 in the church of St John. After just over two months of marriage, Henry Rowland died. He was aged 47 and his residence given as Hornby St.
