was working for, if anyone, after acquiring a prison record.

Elizabeth Rowland died in August 1844 and was buried 19 Aug 1844 in St John’s Churchyard. She was recorded as a 'Romanist' which may explain why
some children were baptised as Catholics. A Romanist is a member of a Church, especially the Church of England, who favours or is influenced by
Roman Catholicism. It was sometimes used as a derogatory term.
Henry Rowland married Margaret Thomas on 20 July 1845 in the church of St John.
After just over two months of marriage, Henry Rowland died. He was aged 47 and his residence given as Hornby St.
